What education leaders say about design thinking training
Education providers
We are focusing heavily on the employee experience within our organisation and prefaced our annual 'strategy to plans' workshop for the HR function with some practical team development on design thinking. Shay quickly developed a clear understanding of our current context and the outcomes we were seeking through using this approach. Shay facilitated a high energy, practical workshop which provided us a great shared understanding of the use of design thinking to improve our ability to develop solutions for better EX outcomes. We were able to immediately use the design, prototyping and customer journey tools through the remainder of our planning workshop and feel confident as a team in this space.

Education
Capability building for universities, schools and providers
Better experiences for students, staff and parents come down to capable teams.
Since 2015, hands-on workshops built around a real experience your team owns.
- Universities, schools and education providers, each with a published case study
- Australia, Singapore and the United States
- Design thinking, agile and AI

Innovation
Innovation training for education providers
Innovation in education means finding a better experience for students or staff, testing it cheaply and making a case leadership will back.
OES generated over 150 ideas and four prototypes. Monash Graduate Association drew over 200 ideas from graduate students.

Design thinking
Design thinking for universities and schools
Design thinking takes a team from "we think students find this hard" to "here is exactly where, and why".
Navitas used it to improve the employee experience: over 100 ideas and four prototypes. Singapore American School built three parent personas and two future journeys. See the design thinking workshop.

Agile
Agile training for universities
Ship in small steps and get from A to B faster.
Deakin trained its data and business analysts in agile. See the agile workshop.

In the room
What an education team should leave with
- One named student, staff or parent experience, and a shared picture of how it feels end to end.
- A prioritised list of friction points or ideas, ranked by cost and impact.
- A rough prototype or test for the most promising idea, with the assumption it needs to prove.
- A method and a shared language the team can use again without a facilitator.
- An owner for the next step.

Questions from education teams
What does Collective Campus run for education?
Capability building workshops in design thinking, customer experience, agile, lean startup, critical thinking, psychological safety and productivity. AI programs covering AI training, AI design sprints, AI governance and AI champions..
Which education organisations have you worked with?
Deakin University and the Monash Graduate Association. Navitas and Online Education Services. Singapore American School. CUPA-HR in the United States. Each one has a published case study.
Is this AI training, or broader than that?
Broader. Most of our education work has been design thinking, innovation and agile. AI programs sit alongside those workshops, with a clear rule on what data goes where.
Can a workshop be built around one of our experiences?
Yes, and it works best that way. Singapore American School anchored its session on the parent experience. Bring a live student, staff or parent experience, and the session is built around it.
How do we get started?
Book a discovery call. Tell us the experience, team or challenge you want to improve, and we will recommend the workshop, sprint or program that fits.
Tell us the experience you want to improve.
Name the experience, team or challenge. We will shape the right workshop, sprint or program around it.
