Teams do not usually lack ideas. They lack a shared view of the problem. The workshop that helps is the one that slows the room down long enough to test whether the problem is real.
Start with a live challenge, not a case study from another industry. Interview people who feel the pain. Write the problem in their words. If the statement still sounds like an internal project name, you are not done.
Then make something rough and put it in front of someone who was not in the room. The point is not a beautiful prototype. The point is a reason to continue, change or stop before the budget is committed.
Talk to the people who use it
