Agile without the theatre
16 July 2026
Stand ups and stickies are not a delivery system. Agile sticks when leaders change how decisions get made.
If the ceremonies are in place and the work is not faster, you do not have an agile team. You have a calendar.
The useful question is where value stalls. Handoffs, approval chains, a framework argument, a leader who still wants a fixed scope and a fixed date.
Training helps when it uses the team's real backlog, and when leaders are in the room. Coaching helps when the new habits have to survive the first busy month.
Frameworks are tools. Scrum, Kanban or a hybrid can all work. Orthodoxy does not ship.
